SKEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIITTTTTTHHHHHH also in English
am I lame for cracking up at this
[livejournal.com profile] haikuninja [livejournal.com profile] superhappy [livejournal.com profile] nedroidcomics -- These are all comic journals I've been meaning to plug for a while. They're awesome, you guys should totally check 'em out. I really need to update mine, that reminds me. cough
Just in case anyone hasn't seen this yet. Their other videos are pretty awesome, too. I am making words so I can plug more videos. These sort of make you realize just how ill-tempered so many people are. "I'm Captain Basch from Dalmasca!" "YEAH WELL LET ME SHOW YOU WHO I AM. LOOK UP THERE."
Though I guess, in that guy's defence, if I knew nothing about Final Fantasy or anything and some guy in a skimpy outfit approached me in a parking lot and said he was "Captain Basch," I'd probably be a little freaked out as well. 'Still pretty trashy, though.
Man, you know what would be awesome? If they did the photo guy from Earthbound. Just walk into a restaurant and leap onto someone's table "PICTURES TAKEN INSTANTANEOUSLY"

Anyway hi I'm back :B I got back last night, actually. Man, before we left I was all OKAY I'M GONNA DRAW ALL OF THE CHRISTMAS CARDS AND DO FIRST DRAFT SKETCHES OF ALL THE PICTURES I OWE AND THEN I'M GONNA READ ALL THESE BOOKS AND I CAN FINISH MARIO AND LUIGI: PARTNERS IN TIME IN THE CAR but that kind of... didn't happen. I DID finish two books, one card, one sketch, and got a bit further in Partners in Time, though! That's something! I guess I just really wasn't expecting to spend so much time socializing... not that I'm complaining, of course :> I like my family.

But yeah, it was a pretty fun trip. I mostly just hung around with the guys and played Rock Band, which is great by the way. I started out playing the guitar, but I got kind of bored of that since it was pretty much just the exact same thing as Guitar Hero (well, that, and it broke after a while), so I moved on to the drums. THE DRUMS ARE GREAT. Though I'm kind of bad about hitting the bass, heh. They even convinced me to sing a few times, which is a pretty big accomplishment on their part because man I do not like singing in front of people. It was pretty fun, though, even though it made me realize just how much I suck :B IT'S LIKE... you know when you make a Sim with low creativity points sing karaoke? It's like that.

We also played some Call of Duty 4. When I first heard about it I thought it would just be stupid and generic and boring and so forth, but I actually wound up being completely fascinated by it. It was just really intense and realistic, I think. I was especially impressed by this mission... if you can call it a mission, anyway. MISSION "GET SHOT IN THE FACE" GO
But yeah, now I kinda wanna check out the other Call of Duty games. ...man, I just realized how varied my taste in games is. This is probably one of the few places you'll see "Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time" and "Call of Duty 4" just paragraphs away from each other :B

I also finally got to meet my (I think?) second cousins, Alex and Amily. Alex is cool; I played Rock Band with him a lot. He's pretty smart for his age. Amily took a liking to me -- every time she looked at me she'd get this big grin on her face and start laughing. I'M JUST REALLY HILARIOUS TO LOOK AT, I GUESS. She also really likes jumping, apparently. Every time I'd lay on the couch or something she'd make me get up and start jumping around with her. Hahahaha.
...Alex and Amily are little kids, by the way XD In case anyone reading was wondering about that.

Also, uhhhh... well, there was this little girl named Ashley who stayed while we were there. At first I just assumed she was a friend of someone's, but I eventually learned that she was part of some program JoAnne (step-grandma) signed up for. According to what I heard from others, she was raped and molested, all her friends were murdered, her family left her (or they were real abusive or something, I can't remember), and she was going to go into a foster home until JoAnne took her in.
Also, she's twelve years old.
I really felt bad for her, to say the least. I kept trying to be nice to her and make her laugh and stuff, but I don't think she liked me that much, heh. She liked Sarah a lot, though. I think there may have been some other stuff that happened to her as well, but I don't know. I hope I can see her again.
There were a handful of other people there who I didn't know, but I didn't get their names or even talk to them or anything. I just assumed they were friends with someone or part of that program. Who knows.

On a side note, y helo friending meme people how do you do :O My name is Dox and I play too many video games. No really, I have this list of games I've played and there's like... over 500 things on there. I NEED TO UPDATE IT THAT REMINDS ME
Anyway, uhhh... enjoy your stay? Wait, that's not really appropriate for this situation. WELCOME ABOARD there we go. My journal entries usually aren't about boring real life rambles, but I'm currently busy with Christmas gifts and such so I don't have time for any fancy-schmancy screenshots and... things. You guys are also free to request something, if you want to :D

Wooooooo I need to quit slacking off now
