So the other night I went to bed and a brown recluse spider came out from behind my pillow and started crawling on my arm.
... t-to tell you the truth, I was more angry than I was scared. I mean, this was the night I came home from visiting my grandpa, and I only got three hours of sleep and had stayed up way later than I should have, and all I wanted to do was crawl into bed and some stupid poisonous spider has to try and ruin everything. Like, what is it trying to prove?! I couldn't even kill it, either, because it startled the crap out of me and ran off before I could grab something. It's like one of those screamers people send around where you think you're trying to find Waldo, and then this scary face pops up and screams, and then you manage to turn off the sound only after it stops screaming because you were too busy being in a fetal position and sobbing. It's like, what the crap.
Of course, then I just told myself that brown recluse spider bites are usually not fatal and just climbed into bed anyway. SLEEP OUTWEIGHS MY FEAR OF DEATH

So I've been trying to draw more lately, since I've kind of fallen into the trap of being like MY ART SUCKS ;_; and then never picking up a pencil. A method that really works well for me is to have one window open with Pose Maniacs and then another open with Maxwell Adams, and then I just copy poses on the Random Pose Viewer on some notebook paper and have the videos going as entertainment. IT MAKES THE TIME FLY I'LL TELL YOU WHAT and it seems like I do better that way rather than playing music or having it silent. Maybe it just puts me in a better mood.

Duster gave me a ton of trouble the whole time I did these, actually; it was hard to get his lineart to look okay, and then I kept running into difficulties whenever I shaded him, and then he wound up looking really pretty without me really meaning to make him so. I FEEL ALL GUILTY but for the moment I'm ignoring that and just reading Zarla's QFG for now.

8D Well! In that case, here it is (http://www.schlockmercenary.com/d/20000612.html). It starts out a little rough, but it gets loads better (the art, the story, the dialog, the characterization...) so don't let that scare you off. And despite what it says there, I really do recommend starting at the beginning. If you start at where it says, then you miss a whoooole lot of awesome, in particular Petey. And you also miss a HUGE part of the backstory. It's not just the characters messing around doing random stuff for two books (though there's some of that... mainly in the first book)--there's a major plotline that, if you go to where it says, you skip right the heck past.

And the pairing is Tagon/Petey, although I don't want to say any more than that since you haven't read it yet. BUT YOU'LL SEE. 8D
