Man, I've just been really down all day and I don't know what the deal is. Wtf. Maybe rambling mindlessly will help remedy that.
So, I beat Bully recently! That game is so awesome. There's just so much that's IN it, it's really pretty amazing. Every student has their own personality and name and their appearance is unique, so you can recognize who everyone is just while running around. And not to mention there's so many missions and things to do and the plotline is interesting and it's so hilarious and the music is great and :O. I also had fun trying to get into cliques (NERDS AND GREASERS 4EVR), except when you do stuff for one clique you tend to piss off another one, so I'd just be trying to get to Chemistry class or something and I'd get like the entire football team running after me and yelling about how I'm a nerd lover. THAT MADE IT KIND OF HARD TO GET AROUND SOMETIMES but no, seriously, that game is great. I really hope they make a sequel. I can see it now -- Bully 2: Back to School! Or maybe Bully 2: Sophomore Year! It'd be great. I know they're making a special Wii edition or something... Bully: Scholarship Edition or something? They say it's gonna have extra features and stuff, though, and I'm a big sucker for that, so I'm definitely gonna have to rent it when it comes out.
I've also been playing a lot of Hotel Dusk, lately. I'm on chapter... I think four? I dunno. ANYWAY that's another amazing game :D It reminds me of Phoenix Wright a lot, gameplay-wise. The thing that really struck me about this game is how it's drawn and animated. The drawings just have so much personality, nevermind the characters themselves. Whenever a new animation pops up I get all excited and hope they play it again so I can observe it some more. Stop laughing out there.
Also, I really like Kyle and his ability to take absolutely anything and turn it into something negative.
OH, A PLANT
MUST BE THERE TO COVER A STAIN >(
I also played Warioware: Smooth Moves, and... ehhhh. It's okay, but I really don't think it's worth the price at all. Maybe I'd enjoy it more if I actually had someone to play it with. I dunno. I'm thinking I'm just gonna resell it and get Pokemon Battle Revolution or something.
ANYWAY ENOUGH BABBLING I have some links I've been meaning to share. OH BOY!
PokeRap GBA - Wow. I wonder how long this took to make.
Corn! (NSFW) - This cracked me up so hard. It has been flagged, however, so AS ALWAYS you can use my extra account. S/N is "omgpr0n," PW is "pornpornporn."
AFV - Deadly Handsome Men - Oh, AFV.
The "Haruhi Dance" in Prison - IF I EVER HAVE TO GO TO PRISON THEN MAN SIGN ME UP FOR THIS ONE I TELL YOU WHAT also here's the original, if you were wondering. I like how it's animated.
I really need to watch this show, now.
Worst Fight Scene Ever - IT JUST MIGHT BE
OotP - Voldemort VS Dumbledore - Best scene in the whole movie, if you ask me.
Some Dude Playing the Super Mario Theme on Two Guitars - MORE AWESOME THAN I MAKE IT SOUND. He makes it look so easy.
I also went on some random Louis C.K. kick for a while, I dunno what that's about. Anyway, videos, let's see... one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, and ten. I'd give them titles, but I'm lazy. THEY'RE ALL HILARIOUS THOUGH and also NSFW because of language and content and that sort of thing.
Star Fox 64 Intro 1 and 2 - Watching these made me so happy. I played this game so much when I was younger, it's actually kind of ridiculous. I can still recite a lot of the script just from memory. I'M THAT SAD.
OH SPEAKING OF STAR FOX DID YOU KNOW THEY'RE PUTTING IN THE ORIGINAL VERSION OF ANDROSS IN SUPER SMASH BROS BRAWL HE'S JUST AN ASSIST TROPHY BUT OH MY GOD HERE'S THE LINK
OH MY GOD I JUST LOOKED AT THE RECENT UPDATES AND THEY'RE PUTTING LYN FROM FIRE EMBLEM IN GFDJADFG SHE'S ALSO AN ASSIST TROPHY BUT STILL HOW COOL IS THAT SHE EVEN ATTACKS LIKE SHE DOES IN THE GAME MAN I CAN'T WAIT FOR BRAWL
Paintjam Dan Dunn - Or something. I'm just saying what the title says, okay. Anyway this is amazing :O Be sure to watch it all the way through.
Freaking Awesome Hula Hoop Girl - I mean, jesus. This video is a great picker-upper :>
Gunnerkrigg Court - Freakin' awesome comic that all the cool kids are talking about. EVERYONE LOVES GUNNERKRIGG
Marry Me - Yet another awesome comic! It's very professional-looking and well done :D I'm bad at reviewing things. JUST CHECK IT OUT
2P START! - Gaming comic. It's fairly new, I think, but it looks promising :O
That's all I have for now. I can't think of a graceful way to end this entry so I'm just gonna leave :B

Date: 2007-09-15 04:11 am (UTC)Legendary (http://legendary.comicgenesis.com/), a D&D comic which is on hiatus, but which has a nice archive to peruse. Warning: storyline-based, in case you don't want to risk being stuck in the middle of the story forever if the artist doesn't restart it.
Mad About U (http://madaboutu.keenspot.com/) is probably over with, but there's mad science and a bit of archive. And it didn't stop in the middle of a storyline.
Three Panel Soul (http://threepanelsoul.com/), pretty much a real-life type comic. And Mac Hall (http://machall.com/index.php) by the same guy (he ended Mac Hall and started Three Panel Soul a bit later). Mac Hall was more gaming-oriented.
Surely you've seen Zarla's comic (http://zarla.comicgenesis.com/)? :D
El Goonish Shive (http://www.egscomics.com/) has mad science, mainly of a transformation-type nature, and epic storylines, and alternate dimensions AND IT IS AWESOME.
Xkcd (http://xkcd.com). "A webcomic of romance,
sarcasm, math, and language." If more webcomics would give taglines it'd save me from thinking up descriptions, haha. An entry where I post links to my favorites! (http://waywardoctagon.livejournal.com/44881.html) Be sure to hover your mouse over the picture to see the alt text! (Sometimes it's too long to display in some browsers, so you have to view source and find "alt" for it, but it's worth it.) This one is also really moving sometimes (and sometimes it's just funny. You can't lose!).
The non-adventures of Wonderella (). About a superhero when she's not superheroing. This one also has alt-text, BUT the comics are also links and I, at least, cannot see the alt-text without going to the source. XO
Not a comic exactly, but: Reynard Noir: The Seedy Underworld of Slylock Fox (http://reynardnoir.wordpress.com/). Title says it all. :D
The Comics Curmudgeon (http://joshreads.com/), the blog of a guy who snarks on newspaper comics. :D [Unknown site tag]
Bad Gods (http://www.badgods.com/). A gag-based thing, different every time!
Simulated Comic Product (http://simulatedcomicproduct.com/). Kind of dark humor.
Perry Bible Fellowship (http://www.pbfcomics.com/) is sort of like The Far Side, but with more panels and very different art.
Ornery Boy (http://www.orneryboy.com/). There are zombies!
Queen of Wands (http://www.queenofwands.net/) is over, but it ended properly, and didn't just cut off in the middle. Oooodles of archives!
Zebra Girl (http://zebragirl.keenspot.com/) is sort of dark... it's this fantasy thing, with demons and alternate dimensions and such. Lovely art, black-and-white.
So in conclusion, SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR WEEKENDS MUAHAHAHAHAH XD

Date: 2007-09-16 04:54 am (UTC)Haha, yeah, I'm the same with anthro comics. There's some comics out there that are just fine and not creepy or anything, and that's great. BUT THEN THERE'S THE ONES ABOUT FURRIES WEARING DIAPERS AND HAVING SEX AND Y'KNOOOOOOWWWWWW
Oh yeah, I've been meaning to read Girl Genius, I heard it's good. Also haaaa good ol' 8-bit Theatre, haven't seen that one in years :B And VG Cats! I used to read that back in the day (I remember this (http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=39) being the most recent comic when I first found it), but I haven't been keeping up with it lately. Kinda neat to see the new stuff, heh.
Oh, before I forget, have you ever seen Lackadaisy (http://lackadaisy.foxprints.com/)? :D To quote the FAQ, it's "mostly about crime in the era of Prohibition." Great story, great characters, great art. And somehow, I forgot to link it on Danger Zone. DURR. I really need to update that page, now that I think about it. Especially once I finish going through these. I'VE GOT THREE DOWN SO FAR WOOOO

Hahahah YEAH, I DO KNOW.
Oh, it's incredibly good! And you'll be joining it at an especially good time, too. See, Girl Genius actually has much more complete than what you see on the web site... they're just posting it up there a page at a time (to entice people to buy the print version). Before, they'd been posting it in two areas--one from the beginning, and one from further along (the second one started from, I don't know, page 300 or something, while the first just started from page 1. And they were both advancing at the same rate, both archives growing steadily). But a few months or so ago, the one that was being posted from the beginning caught up to the other one, so now it's just one big archive. :D
Oooo, I haven't! Although oooooooo I remember seeing some of the artist's work when it was Popular on DeviantArt. Another for the list, then. :D
Haha, I should make one of those. A link list, I mean, with comments about each one. Then I can just point people to the entry instead of reposting the links every time I want to rec stuff. :B

Date: 2007-09-18 12:31 am (UTC)I actually love how it begins (the metaness and sweetness of the player sort of interacting with the sprite like that) but I always feel compelled to warn that it's a little slow. :B
