BUT THANK YOU SO MUCH THAT'S SO AWESOME I have put them on my bookcase with Cloud and Peasley 8D It was actually kind of funny when I opened the package, since I had actually just been looking at Weighted Companion Cube plush toys and stuff and wishing that I had a WCC thing of my own, and then suddenly BAM HANDMADE FIGURINE SUCKA and man it was excellent. i am barely coherent right now
BUT THANK YOU AGAIN I'll have to remember to take pictures when I get some new batteries. I could draw you something in return if you waaant :O
I saw Cloverfield recently, which was great and something that I highly recommend. It really gave you a sense that that was actual footage of a disaster, which was neat and made things a lot more intense. The handheld camera thing didn't bother me, personally, though if you guys get motion sick easily, then, uh... watch out? I dunno :B But you should at least attempt, if you can.
We also rented 300, which was... okay, I guess. I liked it from an artistic point of view. The movie itself was about what I expected, really.
SO HEY WANNA KNOW WHAT WE DID TODAY??? WE SAW JOHN EDWARDS SPEAK AT A POLITICAL RALLY! WOOOOOOOOOO I don't think anyone in my family is actually voting for him, but we still just wanted to see him :B nobody ever comes here okay it was exciting
It was just a little local one, with maybe... I'd say about 200 other people there. It was a fairly small building that barely had any ventilation, so it was real hot, which kind of sucked. Especially since we had to wait for about an hour or so before he got there. BUT we managed to muscle our way to the front of the crowd (I would up being next to some really determined old lady with a camera who randomly stole my sign after the speech was over, and some fangirl who... I guess had a crush on Edwards or something, since she kept gushing over him. OH MY GOD I JUST SAW HIM THROUGH THE CURTAIN AAAAAAAAAA HE LOOKS SO MUCH CUTER IN REAL LIFE), and I actually got to shake his hand when he came in! 8D That makes him the first famous person I've ever met.
As for the speech itself and everything, he... actually didn't seem all that into it. He seemed like he was kind of forcing it and trying to sound spirited and everything, yet at the same time he seemed kind of... defeated? And he seemed like he was kinda rushing through his speech and didn't stick around very long afterwards or anything. Mom and Sarah noticed this, too. I felt bad for him.
Sarah got some nice pictures, though :B We tried to get him to autograph our sign, and Sarah actually followed him from the "stage" (there wasn't any actual stage, he just sort of... stood in the middle of a room) to the curtain and called him just as he was about to leave, but no dice. We were gonna wait by the back door, but the whole thing managed to end right as a cold front was coming in, and we didn't really wanna stand around in that. We all got to shake his hand, though, and that was all we really wanted.
Bill Clinton is gonna make a speech nearish to where we live, too (a few hours away? longer?), so we're gonna try and go to that as well. I WILL TRY TO SHAKE HIS HAND though this will be like twenty times bigger than Edwards', so it'll probably be a lot more difficult. BUT I WILL TRY
In other news, I beat Phantom Hourglass! I thought about bringing my DS to political rally so I could finish it (I was on the final boss), but then decided that I didn't wanna carry it around. I SHOULD'VE DONE IT THOUGH, I TOTALLY COULD'VE BEATEN THAT FINAL BOSS WHILE WE WAITED anyway
-Man, what kind of a mail system does this game run on, anyway? HI YOU GOT A LETTER LET ME READ IT TO YOU

It was kinda cool when you got the Phantom Sword, though, since you could just kill everything. STILL
-...is it weird that I felt oddly guilty killing the Phantoms, though? You just stab them in the back and they kinda look at you before falling over and dying and it's just :<. why do i feel guilty over the weirdest things
-The Isle of Ruins drove me nuts, too, particularly the part where you had to hit one of those orb things to bring out a bridge that you had to cross in a short amount of time. I didn't have much trouble with the one on the right, but the one on the left held me up for a long time. I kept falling through that FRIGGING TRAP DOOR AND AT ONE POINT I NEARLY CROSSED THE BRIDGE WHEN IT COLLAPSED RIGHT AS I WAS WALKING ON IT AND I FELL AND GOD

I actually wound up scribbing "SCREW THIS MAP" all over the map in a fit of rage. Weirdly enough, I finally got across after doing so |D
-SO THE PEOPLE ON THE ISLE OF FROST SURE ARE COLD, HUH
AND THAT MAYOR IS A REAL FLAKE
-SO IS LINEBECK AWESOME OR IS LINEBECK AWESOME. I was really happy that he sorta came with you in the end, since every time he'd stand by the ship while I went adventurin' I always wished he'd come with me. I DON'T CARE THAT HE'D PROBABLY GET IN THE WAY IT'S LINEBECK OMG
-I actually kind of liked Ciela, which is odd since Navi bugged the crap out of me. At least with Ciela, she only speaks when you initiate something, if that makes sense (entering a certain map, talking to someone, etc), whereas Navi would just butt in while you were minding your own business. CIELA KNOWS WHEN TO SHUT HER TRAP
-Jolene was kinda cool, even though her teeth freak me out. I didn't care about her at first, but I liked her a lot more once you read that letter she wrote to her sister. I never did deliver that letter, now that I think about it. NOW JOANNE WILL NEVER KNOW OF JOLENE'S RECENT FIESTY SHE-PIRATEY WAYS :<
I thought maybe there'd be more of a conclusion to the whole thing with Jolene and Linebeck, but I guess not. Eh well.

-I was not surprised in the least when those girls on the Ghost Ship turned into monsters. I DIDN'T TRUST THOSE DEAD EYES OF THEIR'S. And it was annoying trying to escort them, since they kept getting all scared for various reasons and making me talk to them. I wonder what Link says to them to calm them down? HEY BABY DON'T WORRY S'ALRIGHT GIRL I'M HERE FOR YOU BABY god i am so tired
-I could not stop laughing whenever Link swung his grappling hook around. JUST HIS FACE

-I really liked the battle with Eox, that big ol' golem guy. Flying around and smashing things with hammers is almost too fun, I say. The hammer was just a fun tool in general, actually.
-I had a giant "durr" moment after I got the Phantom Sword, where I forgot to take it to Oshus and went into the Temple of the Ocean King instead :B WHY ISN'T THIS KILLING THE PHANTOMS I THOUGHT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO DEFEAT THEM DUHHHH. I got sort of far like that, actually. I am hopeless.
-Awwwww, Linebeck being all serious and telling Ciela to look after Link. I KNOW YOU'RE A SOFTIE DEEP DOWN, LINEBECK

-MAN FOR SOME REASON WHEN TETRA AND LINK WERE ABOUT TO TOUCH HANDS AND BELLUM JUST SUDDENLY BURSTS IN AND GRABS TETRA AND GOES FLYING OFF I JUST BURST OUT LAUGHING AND COULDN'T EVEN CONTINUE WITH THE DIALOGUE OR ANYTHING FOR A WHILE, I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT WAS
I MEAN IT WAS SUCH A PEACEFUL, TOUCHING MOMENT AND THEN SUDDENLY SOME DEMONSQUID JUST COMES CRASHING THROUGH THE WALL
-Hehehe, chasing after the Ghost Ship on the S.S. Linebeck. It was kind of tricky trying to aim at Bellum since I was so busy reading and giggling over Linebeck's dialogue. You're almost as amazing as me, kid!

-However, it is impossible to not smile at the little construction paper-like artwork in the credits 8D And I felt oddly happy when I saw my signature appear on the top of the screen, I dunno why.

So anyway, yeah, that was fun.Now I need to actually finish Windwaker
I'm thinkin' my next gaming conquest will be Partners in Time, since I'm pretty close to the end, I think. It's really hard to motivate myself to finish that game for some reason, though. It's just... kind of boring and doesn't really feel like Superstar Saga did at all -- I'd hardly even call it a sequel. Not to mention that it has Baby Bowser in it, and every time I see Baby Bowser I am overcome with the urge to punch him in the face.
But I dunno! Maybe I'll think differently when I finish it. AND SPEAKING OF SUPERSTAR SAGA PEASLEY STICKER IN BRAWL OH MY GOD
And this is probably only awesome to me, but I'm finally getting some new glasses after having these crappy ones for about two years and nothing before that. I'm all excited, I even marked the day they come in on my calendar :D shut up
