backupdump002thanks for all the birthday wishes! i had a great one. turns out that the casinos here JUST raised the minimum age to 21, however, so i never did that. they did it because they all serve alcohol now or something. it's really weird to think that i'm now old enough to do like ANYTHING yet i'm still banned from places because there's budweiser around, btw.
SO i didn't do anything special (never do, really), just ordered some pizza and watched the dana carvey show. i am totally not complaining about that, though, because that was awesome. i always feel weird telling everyone what i get as gifts for some reason, so uhhh i'll just mention a few things: i got left 4 dead, which is very fun and i've been playing a lot of it lately. i also got dead rising, which i've been horribly curious about ever since it came out, so i'm very excited about that. got professor layton and the diabolical box, and iiiii JUST started chapter three, i think (twitter-followers are already well aware that i have this, i'm sure). also got san andreas, which is kinda funny since![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

I HAVE A QUESTION
IS SAINTS ROW 1 ANY GOOD? i asked for saints row 2 and got the first one instead, and i'm trying to decide whether i ought to exchange it. IF 2 IS REALLY AMAZING COMPARED TO 1 THEN I WILL
AND OF COURSE i got this amazing picture fromtigerboat, which contains my four favorite Ls in the ~whole world~. i was very thrilled to get this. TIGER KNOWS ME TOO WELL
and, uh, the rest is just books and a pre-order for scribblenauts and stuff. haha, before i turned 18 i groaned in pain over how old it was, but now, whatever. as soon as it hit midnight i was already used to it somehow. NOW I'M GROANING IN PAIN OVER THE THOUGHT OF TURNING 20 IN A COUPLE OF YEARS
in other news, john got robbed. hahahaha what a dramatic change of mood-- but no, he just came home last night and found the back door kicked in and his ps3, two macbooks, and 52" tv were all gone. right now the suspects are these teenagers who knocked on the door beforehand asking for "carlos" and generally acting strange. whoever it is, i'm hoping the police will catch them, since from what i hear they sound pretty sloppy and stupid.
john has insurance, thankfully, but also has a $1000 deductible. i dunno, the whole thing sucks and it happened at a shitty time, since john is working a lower-paying job and is really strapped for cash and currently trying to sell his house. he doesn't need people stealing his crap and wrecking his home on top of everything else. i'm not worried that he won't get things back together--he always bounces back pretty well--but man, his whole situation right now just bites.
uhhh i had more things i wanted to talk about but i'm tired
neutraltwin PICKED THESE and has probably forgotten about it at this point hahaha
1. this is garcian from killer7. i wanted some icons after i beat the game, so i went looking and came across the official killer7 comic, whiiiiiiiich had some kind of hilarious expressions in it. i'm sure nobody is surprised when i say that i had to go through it and icon everything
anyway, i love garcian, and that picture of him makes him look like he's modelling lipstick or something, SO
2. from that super mario western show thing hyadain did! i did a bunch of icons and decided to use this one for... some reason.
3. i HAVE to have an icon of larry, man, he's one of my favorite characters (both in ace attorney and just in general). plus, makes for a good sheepish icon.
4. i totally forgot where i got this, but little mac has always looked ridiculous in that one picture. THIS HIGHLIGHTS THAT
5. i found the picture while reading the ffx recap on that vgrecaps site i used to go, and i had to icon it. wakka's pretty awesome and he's making a pretty awesome face, so what's there to lose
6. this is UBOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA (uboa) from the incredible and terrifying freeware game called "yume nikki" (that i will beat someday). when he appears in the game he is scary as SHIT and completely startled the crap out of me, but when you look at his face a little closely, he... looks pretty ridiculous. like some guy who just popped out and went "BOO HAHAHASDFKGJ DID I SCARE YOU GUYS" to his friends or something. so i tend to use this as a loling sort of icon.
man i wanna go to that david sedaris thing i mentioned but it turns out it's like $80 per ticket fffff

"dox" is actually just shortened from "unorthodox," which i picked since it pretty much just means "weird" (i was 14, haha). "doxinator" comes from dox always being taken everywhere, so i just added "inator" to the end of it to make it sound cool. THAT'S ABOUT IT kinda boring actually, though i guess most people don't know that my "real" internet name is unorthodox or something
