1) What's your favourite genre of music, and favourite band within that genre?
oh god, any question that involves music is probably the hardest kind of question you can ask me. but the sort of music i tend to really gravitate towards, i guess, is indie rock. the more upbeat/poppish kind, not the annoying whiny stuff. i need to do more exploring (read: downloading), but i have to say that from what i've heard, i am really gay for franz ferdinand's stuff.

2) Any guilty pleasures?
i love cheesy sitcoms. seriously, i can sit down and watch stupid disney sitcoms for hours (THE SLIGHTLY OLDER STUFF haven't seen the newer). also love bad pop/hip hop/whatever music. also love decorating (specifically the cornyass stuff you see in soccer mom magazines where there's like halloween-themed cookie cutters shaped like ghosts or oven mitts that have cats on them or something I GO CRAZY FOR THAT CRAP). also love trolling. these all fit together perfectly, as you can see.
i guess i wouldn't call these "guilty" pleasures, though, since i am secure enough in my masculinity to admit to all of this (and i'm just a troll who acts stupid to see the reactions rather than one who tries to hurt peoples' feelings). I CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING I DO THAT I'M EXTREMELY EMBARRASSED ABOUT, THESE ARE THE CLOSEST THINGS

3) Did you have a teacher in school who really influenced you?
uhhhh... actually, no. not the kind of influence i can pinpoint, anyway.

4) How often do you read novels?
not often enough. trying to get into the habit of reading a chapter per day.

5) Favourite Final Fantasy game?
UHHHHHH i like all of them (that i've played), so this is tricky. i guess either ffiv or ffvii. and yeah, i still like ffvii even after the compilation, and i really don't get the people who say that the compilation RUINED FFVII FOREVER because it's not like the original game has been magically changed or anything. just do what i do and pretend the compilation doesn't exist. (unless you didn't like ffvii, but then well whatever)

-drove for the first time a few days ago. a couple years late, but whatever. it was easy. need to take driver's ed.
hahaha i was perfectly calm the whole time, but mom was all freaked out (at least during the start). it probably didn't help that my reaction to making mistakes was just WHOOPS HAHAHA THAT WAS KINDA COOL
-john had his 31st birthday. looking forward to properly celebrating when he and sherah come up for thanksgiving!
-turns out that my step-grandma's breast cancer is worse than they thought, so she'll have to get a double-mastectomy. she'll still be fine, as far as anyone can tell, but it's a shame she has to go through all that. i hope she calls off the thanksgiving reunion since she really ought to just rest after that, but she's so stubborn. i dunno. we'll see.
