IN THE PAST WEEK I HAVE...
-Worked. And WORKED. As in ON MY FEET FOR 12-13 HOURS STRAIGHT WITH FIVE HOURS OF SLEEP AND ONLY A BIT OF EXTRA HELP
-Faced my crippling fear of heights by scaling our rickety, wooden ladder which is a billion years old and threatens to topple over and send me falling to my untimely death at even the slightest misstep.
-Maneuvered a paintbrush with my right hand and found that I actually wasn't too shabby at it! For a lefty, anyway.
-Barely got any sleep in general and had to force myself to keep moving just to keep from passing out.
-Drank more cranberry juice than you can imagine.
If the talk of ladders and paintbrushes didn't tip you off, I have repainted my room! :O

I just used Flock's automatic picture resizing thing, so the quality of these is a little crappy but whatever. YOU GUYS GET THE IDEA
Anyway, first, the before pictures. The walls in my room used to be this really dingy purple color which was there when we first moved here. When people would come over and visit they would comment on how much they liked that color, and I actually liked it too, at first. But after spending about three years holed up in this room with these dark, dull, sickly colors, it kind of started to bring me down after a while.

My gamin' setup. WIRES EVERYWHERE

This picture has nothing to do with anything, I just thought it looked cool. I like my windows :B

Yes, the ceiling was (and still is) green. My room was Barney-colored :<

I am a very messy person.

Moving on, this was taken while I was taping everything. I HAVE NO RECOLLECTION OF DROPPING A GLOWSTICK ON A GLUE TRAP BUT APPARENTLY IT HAPPENED. I couldn't get it off, either.

On to repainting! This was the first coat, which I rather disliked. You can't really tell in these pics, but it was just crappy-lookin'.

THAT FREAKING LADDER
My room stayed like this for a few weeks because we were still a little unsure on what the second color should be/we were too lazy to go to Lowe's. But then we did! Mom and I worked together on putting on the second coat, then the next day we did some touch-ups around a couple baseboards. We took a break, and the 'break' lasted until about, what... 10 PM? Midnight? Somewhere around there. Mom told me not to paint without her since she thought I was going to get paint all over the baseboards like a retard and then it'd be dry by the time she got there, but then I got impatient and painted anyway 8B I painted and painted by myself until I finally finished at 4 AM. Once I was done with that I went to bed, woke up at 9 AM, and suddenly it was like I was possessed by some kind offlaming fabulous zealous interior decorating JESUS
DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG I WORKED?
I WORKED FROM 9 AM
TO 10 PM
BY MYSELF
BARELY ANY BREAKS
ALSO I HAD TO CARRY THE LADDER DOWN THE STAIRS BY MYSELF SINCE EVERYONE ELSE WAS NOT HOME/SHOWERING/BUSY BUT THE LADDER WOULDN'T FOLD PROPERLY SO IT WAS KINDA STILL OPEN WHICH MADE IT HARD AND I ACCIDENTALLY BONKED MYSELF IN THE HEAD WITH IT AT SOME POINT AND THEN I FELT KIND OF DIZZY BUT I THINK I'M OKAY, I MEAN I DIDN'T PASS OUT OR ANYTHING SO THAT'S GOOD
This is also around the time I got a lovely bladder infection so I was having to deal with that as well. Yes, you had to know that.
BUT THEN...

TADAAAAAAAHHHHHHH yes i am too lazy to rotate it. Tilt your head.
The color came out REALLY weird in these pictures. I swear it looks a lot better in real life :<

Here, I managed to get a more accurate shot of the color a little while after taking the rest of these. It's just sort of this creamy color. It is very pleasant :O Much different from how the rest of these photos look. JUST KEEP THIS PHOTO IN MIND WHILE YOU SCROLL

That shelf seemed so empty and alone, so I decided to display some old gaming consoles 8B The NES still has Dr. Mario in it. I totally would've put the PS1 up there, but I couldn't find it. Maybe John took it..?

Close-up. All of the controllers and wires and junk are up there, so if I ever feel like having a nostalgia trip I can just grab one of these off the shelf and hope they still work! Except I couldn't find the NES controllers OR games, so none of that until I do :<

Taken from the bed. I think the reason the colors look so horrifically off is because I had my camera set to some bizarre setting without realizing it. DURRRR. I'd take new pics but I'm lazy.

Blurrrr. Again, too lazy to retake anything.
I will eventually place a bookcase there, but until then it's just this big empty VOID. I also plan on putting a bunch of fake plants everywhere to liven everything up even more :> I'll also get an office chair, since right now I just have this old wooden chair and whenever I sit down my assbones dig into it and it's very uncomfortable.
I guess, with all this stuff I'm planning on getting, the smart thing for me to do would be to wait until I actually GOT those things and THEN take pictures. OH WELL 8D

Wooooo terrible quality! Tilt your head to the left for this one.
This is the regular bookcase which is OVERFLOWING. This is built into the wall, which is built into the bed, which is also built into the wall. It's complicated.

I also decided to display my old Gameboys on a different shelf :O I would've put up the original Gameboy, but alas, it was not to be found.

...I dunno.

My only complaint with this color is that my posters don't look nearly as awesome as they did on the purple. Eh well.
CAN YOU NAME THE POSTERS???

And then, of course, I manage to completely trash my desk within a day. And apparently I was looking at my LJ and talking with Blaire in this picture. WOO
That jar of cranberry juice is looooooooong gooooone
Aaaaand that's all :B If you guys want me to then I'll take some more pictures once I put in all that crap I mentioned. I dunno. YOU DECIDE
