YOU SEEM TO KNOW A LOT ABOUT THIS, VOLT

backupdump002My doorknob is broken and now I can't open my bedroom door. This would suck if my door wasn't a Dutch door (I think that's what they're called, anyway), so I can just easily climb over the bottom half |B IT'S ACTUALLY KIND OF FUN and this is also one of those times where I'm glad that I'm a pretty scrawny little person, otherwise we might be in trouble. Also, of course, I keep managing to stub my toe on the threshold. DURR
Anyway yeah, I guess we should fix that or something. I dunno. I probably wont do anything until after New Year's because mehhhh lazy.
So it all started last night. I made me a bowl of Cheerios (no milk) and some green tea, set it on my desk, and hopped back over the door to do something I can't remember right now. Mom called me downstairs and had me burn a CD for her and read this letter she wrote to her friend and blah blah blah and by the time I was done helping her out it was actually pretty late and I was really tired and just wanted to go to bed. I decided to go ahead and eat before doing so.
SO, AUDIENCE, CAN YOU SEE WHERE I TOTALLY SCREWED MYSELF OVER IN THIS PARAGRAPH?
If you guessed "eating before going to bed," you're right. When I woke up, I was miserable -- I felt nauseated, I was literally writhing in pain, I was sweating, I was weak. I'd keep trying to get up but my body would be like NOOOOO and I'd just flop back down. At some point I finally realized that it was because of those freaking Cheerios, and that, I guess, they just didn't digest properly since I was asleep.
But that seemed weird. I've eaten before bed before, and at the worst I'd just feel a little "bleh" when I woke up, but it'd wear off after 10-20 minutes or so. I've never experienced something like this because of eating before bed, and the websites I checked didn't say anything about this either -- just UR GONNA GET FAT and that your stomach might ache a little. I kind of wondered if I had a very mild form of food poisoning, but... I don't know. I don't think so.
Anyway, so I finally forced myself out of bed and wow what a treat that was. My stomach felt really tight and heavy (almost like I had eaten a rock), I was dizzy, and I couldn't stand up straight or walk very fast. It reminded me of when I had appendicitis, actually, though I think that was a lot worse. I was just able to get over the door with a bit of help from my computer chair, and by the time I stumbled into the bathroom I already had to lay back down before doing anything else. I remember laying on the bathroom floor was actually kind of helpful -- the coolness helped or something.
Anyway, a good while later I hobbled down the stairs, then flopped onto the couch because just taking that short walk made me feel exhausted. Coolness helped me before, but now I suddenly felt as cold as ice and could not seem to get warm no matter how many blankets I piled on. Mom eventually found me and I was like "I'm sick ;_;" and asked her to get me some carrots with salt (yes I put salt on my carrots shut up) because that was all that sounded good. She offered to get me some other things -- tea, water, broth, Ramen -- but anything liquidy sounded terrible, and Ramen sounded too heavy. Yes, Ramen.
So I think the carrots helped, though I was only able to eat a tiny bit at a time before feeling sick and having to wait 5-10 minutes or so before nibbling again. X-Play cheered me up a lot, which is weird because that show usually annoys me slightly. They were doing some special "2007 Christmas Shopping List" or whatever thing, though, and it was actually very nice. Y'know, I didn't really care about the original Xbox that much, but the 360 actually looks like it has a lot of neat games! Assassin's Creed and Mass Effect looked especially cool, I thought. And man I really need to play Portal and Bioshock OKAY GETTING OFF TOPIC
Uhhhhhhhhh oh yeah. So a couple of bathroom trips later, cough, I... I felt just fine. Still slightly wonky, but otherwise fine. I was no longer in pain, I could actually eat stuff (which is good, because I was pretty hungry at that point), I could walk around and sit up without feeling like I was going to pass out, I was no longer shivering uncontrollably. And while I was really relieved to be feeling better, I still couldn't help but wonder wtf I just had. That seemed way too extreme to be from eating before bed, and it didn't seem extreme enough to be food poisoning or anything. Did it just... go bad? Can that even happen? Was the Cheerios/green tea combination just too... I dunno, maybe a little... acidy or something? I've had it before and I felt great, but I don't think I've ever slept after having it, so maybe... I don't know. I can't really find anything on this online, it's really bizarre. IT'S LIKE THAT ICE STORM, JUST COMES IN AND JOSTLES THINGS AROUND AND LEAVES
But yeah, that's really weird. I'm just glad it's over with. MORAL OF THIS STORY: DON'T EAT BEFORE BED or at least don't have any freakin' Cheerios and green tea before bed because those seem to like screwing you over for some reason.
In less disgusting and terrible news, I mailed out everyone's cards a day or two ago, so those should be getting to you guys soonish :D Look for the "From Dox" on the back. Also keep in mind that I wrote them in the wee hours of the morning, so they MIIIIIIIIIIGHT be a little strange. zarla I GOT YOUR PACKAGE man I needed that today 8D THE CHIPTUNES ARE GREAT AND I HAVEN'T WATCHED MST3K YET BUT I WILL SOON AND THE TINY NUN HAS FOUND A PLACE AMONG MY MANY POKEMON FIGURINES I would've put her on my dresser but it's kinda wobbly and I didn't want her to fall and be lost forever or anything. AND I DID NOT KNOW THAT ABOUT LUIGI awwwwwwww. Just when you think he can't get any more adorable. Also, I like all the doodles and stuff, heh 8D PEASLEY, THE PERFECT TOUCH TO EVERY LETTER

What else, what else. Oh yeah, The Bouncer is the most hilarious game ever. The idea of having a game about bouncers is pretty cool, I think, but Square kind of... messed it up. Needs to be longer, needs more gameplay, needs less cliches. Really, though, the campyness is what makes this great, so in a lot of ways I wouldn't change this at all. It's sort of like a bad movie, y'know -- you know it's bad, you can rattle off about a billion things they could've done to improve it, but at the same time it's just so unintentionally hilarious that you can't help but love it. IT HAS SPUNK. Or maybe I'm just crazy, I dunno
Also, what's-her-face near the end is totally a Rinoa prototype y/y. SHE EVEN DOES THE POSE. You'll see what I mean when you get there.

This is eerily realistic. Can you believe how much we've advanced? It's really quite something. This one is pretty amazing, too.
I DON'T CARE HOW ENDEARING THEY TRY TO MAKE TITAN THE ROBOT BE BY HAVING HIM SING OLDIES MUSIC AND DANCE, HE STILL SCARES THE CRAP OUT OF ME.
It's scary how much I can relate to these types of songs. I'M SO LAME, GOD
