HAPPY NEW YEAR there's like 10 minutes of 2007 left over here
duhh duuhh i guess i'll post some New Year memes
1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?:
Uh... crap, what did I do... uhhhhh... UHHHHHHHHH... man, this was a really uneventful year.
I went trick-or-treating with my brother! There we go.
2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I think last year I resolved to write more, aaaaand I didn't write anything at all this year! Yaaaaay
This time, I resolve to make this a productive year. Whether that means studying, improving my artwork, finishing all those games/books/shows/site updates/ideas I've been meaning to for god knows how long, whatever. Just do as much as I can.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
I... think. I can't remember if it was this year or last. I AM THE WORST FAMILY MEMBER EVER
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.
5. What countries did you visit?
We didn't go anywhere.
6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
A job, among other things :B
7. What dates from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
I'm no good with dates, so I'll go with events. Let's see... what did we do... helping John get over his breakup with Julia, John and Ashley visiting, going to Texas... ...uh... oh, going to the Manaphy event at Toys'R'Us, that was kinda neat. Reading the last Harry Potter book. Hangin' out with
le_dog and
wishwashing. Repainting my room and getting sick TWICE in the process. Playing two new Phoenix Wright games. The "Goose Lady." Reuniting with Tumarbar. The Edgeworth VS Bidoof thing. Oh, the ice storm, that's a big one. Christmas was definitely memorable. And... that's it. WHAT A FASCINATING YEAR I seriously did not do anything, jeez.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
NOT DYING, THAT'S ALWAYS A BIG ONE. And I also discovered some sssstttttuuuuufffffffff about myself.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Wasting so much time.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
That thing with the Cheerios and green tea, yeah. OH MAN. Luckily that only lasted for a couple of days. Besides that, I got sick a handful of times, aaaand I got my wisdom teeth removed, if that counts. I actually remained fairly healthy this year, surprisingly enough.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
I guess just various games, or... something. hotel dusk was fun lol. I also got this really neat Majora's Mask t-shirt, which I'm wearing right now.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
John, for accomplishing so much this year. Got out of a terrible relationship and into a better one, went on tour, the whole MTV thing, going back to college to get a degree in game design... he's so cool 8D
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
I don't wanna mention names, but uhhh...
14. Where did most of your money go?
Games and books.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Phoenix Wright 3! I even baked cookies.
16. What songs will always remind you of 2007?
"Say It Ain't So" by Weezer and "Wanted Dead Or Alive" by Bon Jovi because we had to play those OVER AND OVER on Rock Band, to the point where it became a kind of inside joke.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i) happier or sadder?
Happier. Last year got really miserable, but this year has been pretty even and nice.
ii) thinner or fatter?
Pretty much the same.
iii) richer or poorer?
Richer, I think.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Work. I did a lot, but not enough >( IT WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Derping around on the Internet.
20. How will you be spending the holidays?
With family.
22. Did you fall in love in 2007?
THERE WAS MERMAID MINNIE... MET HER DOWN IN MADAGASCAR
23. How many one night stands?
Infinity.
24. What were your favorite TV programs?
I really don't watch TV. I mean, I finished Cardcaptor Sakura (finally, I've been meaning to for years), Yakitate!! Japan, and most of Princess Tutu, but I think this question is referring to things that came out this year, sooo...
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Not hate, but uhhhh
26. What was the best book you read?
I finally read Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card, which was really good. I highly recommend it. Haha, I remember when I first heard the title I thought it was going to be some dumb story about kids playing baseball or something. THEN I FOUND OUT IT WAS SCI-FI AND MY INTEREST WAS PIQUED
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Man, I don't know. I have so much music that I barely even keep track of new things anymore :V
28. What did you want and get?
Games and books.
29. What did you want and not get?
...other games and books. And a LIFE :(
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
I liked Pan's Labyrinth a lot.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I just hung around for my birthday, which doesn't sound that interesting but it was actually pretty awesome :D And I turned sixteen. God, now I'm going to be seventeen. That's such a weird thought. I'm real excited about it, though, because now I can legally rent M-rated games and donate blood and stuff. Woooo
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Personal things that I don't really wanna talk about here :O
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?
What is this "fashion" you speak of
34. What kept you sane?
DRUGS, MAN. LOADS OF DRUGS.
LOADS AND LOADS AND LOADS AND okay no. Really, just little things like games and stuff I've already mentioned a million times, and also you guys :> I don't know where I'd be without you guys.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
I don't care about celebrities.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Just watching the presidential debates, really.
37. Who did you miss?
Lots of people.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
I LIKE EVERYONE I MET I DON'T WANNA PICK
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007:
The only person you can ever truly rely on is yourself.
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
No.
...except I cheated and posted several sentences for a lot of these. I'LL QUOTE AS MUCH AS I WANT, MEME. YOU DON'T OWN ME!
January:
"My speakers have officially gone senile. The right one can still kind of play sound, at least, but it's really quiet and muffled and for some reason it'll just blot certain things out (like not playing the vocals in a song or something)."
(NOTE: It was actually the sound card :B DURR)
February:
"NOT DEAD
-I made Ragnarok Online and Interstella 5555 icons."
(Wow, I only made three entries that month.)
March:
"I got my wisdom teeth pulled last Tuesday. The pain isn't as bad as I thought it would be (then again I make sure to keep drugged at ALL TIMES), but apparently it's gonna get worse for a few days starting tomorrow (today, whatever) since the blood clot dissolves and exposes my jaw. Yes, you had to know that."
(That was actually kind of fun. I just laid on the couch and watched Nick GAS (Games and Sports -- shows all those old Nick game shows like Legends of the Hidden Temple and stuff) and got all drugged up on pain meds for a week or so. I WAS LIVIN THE DREAM wait what.)
April:
"So I was going to post an April Fools joke yesterday, but then I kind of... forgot.
:B
Eh well. THERE'S ALWAYS NEXT YEAR, I GUESS"
May:
(Skipping the friendslocked post...)
"SO I GOT THIS CRAZY IDEA FOR A CRACK POST TODAY"
(Hahaha, when I posted a bunch of stuff from my crack folder. I need to do that again.)
June:
"Dante's Peak was on last night! Man, I saw that movie in theaters when I was like... six, and it scared the crap out of me. Pretty much the only thing I remember from that movie is the part where the granny gets all burned and stuff since that was always the part that freaked me out the most. It still kind of makes me twitch a little. Ah, memories."
July:
[...]
"There you have it! I really enjoyed doing this, and I hope everyone else did as well! Thank you for reading, and thank you especially to all the people who took the time to leave some awesome comments. You guys make it so worth it to do these :D"
(When I finished the Superstar Saga screenshot adventure.)
August:
"IN THE PAST WEEK I HAVE...
-Worked. And WORKED. As in ON MY FEET FOR 12-13 HOURS STRAIGHT WITH FIVE HOURS OF SLEEP AND ONLY A BIT OF EXTRA HELP"
(When I repainted my room. I ought to post some new photos, that reminds me.)
September:
"So hey I've been thinkin'
I'VE BEEN THINKIN'

"Welp, John and Ashley left this afternoon. I MISS THOSE KNUCKLEHEADS ALREADY :<"
December:
[...]
