HONK HONK I'M ANNOYING
Jun. 28th, 2008 05:52 pmHEY so uh just to let you guys know, I'm going to be on vacation starting on July 3rd and wont be back until... a couple of weeks, I think? Around the 20th, maybe? SOMETHING? We're still kind of planning things out so you can give or take a few days, but that's the general timeframe. YOU GUYS GET TO GO WITHOUT MY MINDLESS VIDEO GAME RAMBLING FOR A WHILE, THAT MUST BE A RELIEF. I think what we're gonna do is start in Texas so we can visit family, then go to California for a while (OH BOY DISNEYLAND), then go to Seattle. I'LL BE SURE TO TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES AND WILL TRY NOT TO GET STABBED OR ANYTHING
SOME POINTLESS LINKS BEFORE I FORGET:
My dad sent me this. It is quite possibly the most interesting (if disturbing) art project I've ever seen, and I'm not just saying that. It's hard to believe the paintings aren't actually moving and making noise and interacting with the environment, y'know? They have a few other videos of the same vein, but I liked this one the best :B
Whoa, someone beating the original Metal Gear in 47 minutes without cheating. I can't believe they memorized all the key cards! :O That was such a pain in the ass when I was playing, I swear to God
GTAIV swingset glitch! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
My favorite commercial ever :D GREAT IF YOU NEED A PICK-ME-UP
When I was growing up we never had any Sega consoles (not because of any sort of OMG SEGA SUX NINTENDO RUELZ bias, but we just either weren't interested or couldn't afford it), so this and this are really fascinating to me :B Seriously, talk about an epic opening screen. Why don't modern consoles do stuff like this? JUST TOO COOL FOR IT, I GUESS
This music video makes me happy.
Speaking of music videos, here's that insane Mario one, in case you haven't seen it already. There's really no way to describe it; you have to see it for yourself.
Oh yeah, haha, there was this great thread a while ago where people posted a bunch of game clips with hilariously bad voice acting in them, which I was all over like DIP ON A CHIP why am i in such a bizarre mood today
But anyway HERE'S AN ESPECIALLY GOOD ONE. I thought I was going to die during 0:33-0:47, oh man. You may want to turn the volume down for this one, and it takes a little while to get to the good part, but it's worth it, trust me. This one might be the worst; it sounds like one of those online "radio shows" people do where they'll take a game script (i.e.: Phoenix Wright) and read it out loud. YOU KNOW. You can stop watching this one at around 3:40, since that's about when all the funniest parts are over, but nevertheless this one is great. I have no idea what's happening in this one, but it brought tears of laughter to my eyes either way. And Jesus Christ, did they just run the script for this game through Babelfish and send it out without even proofreading it or anything WHAT IS HAPPENING
And, of course, you can't have a thread about bad voice acting in games without this. THIS IS BRUTALITY
I SHOULD REALLY BE DOING LAUNDRY AND FINISHING WORK RIGHT NOW
