Final Fantasy IV Adventure!!1 Part 6

Man, I had this dream last night about eating waffles. They were pretty big, too... not like GIANT but kind of big for waffles. And they were really crunchy and fluffy and delicious. I was all disappointed when I woke up and realized we didn't have any waffles in the freezer :( SIGH

AAAAANYWAAAAAY let's play some FFIV. Where did we leave off... ah, yes. Cecil became a paladin, Tellah remembered his spells and also learned Meteo (which he can't use, btw, since it costs more MP than he will ever have), we reunited with Yang (though not before having an EPIC FIGHT with him where he suddenly has thousands of HP, even though he actually only has about 800+), we snuck into Baron through the underground waterway, defeated Baigan and Kainazzo, reunited with Cid, lost the twins (they got stoned lol get it omg), got an airship, met Kain who told us he'd trade his level 100 Charizard Rosa for the Crystal of the Earth, and now we're going to Toroia to get said crystal. LET'S GO

I wonder if the dialogue changes if you go in as a toad or something? Haha, maybe I should visit that dancer in Mysidia 8D If you can use the airship while you're an animal, anyway.




There were a couple buildings in here that you could walk in, but it wouldn't take you to a different screen and there weren't any hidden treasure chests in them or anything. Weird.

I know the knife is for Tellah, and I think the staff is as well. I sold them both, though, since Tellah doesn't need a knife and I'm pretty sure the Rod of Change is stronger than the Silver Staff. Not sure, though. WHATEVER. MONEY!

Grabbed a bunch of armor for Cid and Cecil :O Actually, I think I just got a set for Cid, and just got Cecil the shield since I didn't have any cash left over. Normally I'd put Cecil before everyone else in this sort of situation, but Cid really needed it -- he just had a Prisoner Outfit, a Wooden Hammer, and nothing else. Not to mention Cecil gets some new armor for free in an upcoming dungeon. Soooo
Oh yeah, and keep Cid's Wooden Hammer. You're gonna need it in a sec.

Ahh, yes. The pass. It's completely overpriced, and the feature it unlocks is pretty worthless. If I were just playing by myself then I'd skip all of this entirely, but since I'm playing for you guys, I thought I might as well show you what it does. I made sure to save before doing this, though.

Anyway, let's go to that cave everyone's yammering about. The cave is on an island and the island is covered in trees, so we can't land our airship on it. THIS CALLS FOR A BLACK CHOCOBO!

Samba de Chocobo plays when you fly these, by the way :D




The cool thing about Black Chocobos is that you can leave them somewhere and they wont automatically run off, like a normal chocobo does. Awesome! Though like I mentioned before, once you get on them for the second time then they auto-pilot over to Chocobo Village, soooo :O






So yeah, I hope you have some spare leather armor laying around, and I also hope you kept that Wooden Hammer. If you wear any metallic equipment into this cave then that's pretty much just an automatic game over, since it'll weigh your party member(s) down and they wont be able to move (I think it may automatically go YOUR PARTY HAS LOST GAME OVER LOL as soon as you enter battle, but I don't know for sure, since I've never really gone in with metal equips). It's probably best to just run from battles for this part and just focus on getting to the end of the cave as fast as possible, though I did fight a couple battles just for the heck of it. I dunno :B
I don't really get how it makes any difference whether your party is WEARING the equips or not, though, since it seems like just carrying that stuff around should weigh them down. Whatever, FFIV.

You can't win this battle, so just attack normally and wait for him to kill you. Maybe you COULD kill him, if you levelled enough and really worked for it, but you wouldn't gain anything, so

This reminds me of this video I saw on AFV where there was this kid in a cape and he was lying on a cardboard box and he was like I SENSE TROUBLE and pretended to fly for a moment and then the box just collapsed

Cecil steps back, thus giving you a chance to equip your regular items. Woo!

So you can go ahead and battle the Dark Elf the normal way, just with hacking and slashing and so on, or you can use a method I prefer. You'll see in a minute.




Boss music starts up when he changes. IS EDWARD NOT PLAYING ANYMORE OH GOD WE'RE ALL SCREWED AREN'T WE
Anyway, once he changes, this allows you to do this...




...which should bring his HP down to the single digits...



...which should make the next blow you deal fatal.





Tadah! Just a little trick I like to use |3 Beats having to widdle down his 4000 hit points or however many he has.

Now to make your way out! The magnetic field is totally lifted at this point, so you're free to wander around and level and pick up any treasure chests you might've missed.

HEY GUESS WHAT MY BROTHER'S STAYING UNTIL NOVEMBER 1ST WOOOOOO i'm all excited. He's gonna bring his new girlfriend and stuff, too, which should be interesting. Kinda curious about what she's like and everything. She seems nice from what I've seen, though, a lot more outgoing than Julia and stuff :O Should be fun.

I've been getting all into Princess Tutu, lately. It's actually a very well-done show, I really enjoy it 8D It's also the GRANDMASTER OF CLIFFHANGERS jesus. And I can't even count how many times its made my hair stand on end, just from the way they execute a certain scene or word things and... it's hard to explain. JUST WATCH IT OR SOMETHING. I've been getting the episodes off of Veoh. Apparently they have this new deal where you have to download Veoh TV or whatever to view full videos, and I know that sounds like a pain, but it's worth it. I say you get it, if not for Princess Tutu then for other stuff, since Veoh actually has a pretty darn fair collection of shows and the like :B And it's not like YouTube where everything gets deleted after like a week. So yeah.

I preordered Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations! For those not in the know, if you preorder the game then you get a free Phoenix Wright plushie. HOW CAN YOU RESIST ITS ALLURE whew I'm sure glad I remembered it was through GameStop 'cause I almost ordered from Amazon for a moment, there. THAT WAS A CLOSE ONE. Man, I can't wait for that game.
