Hey Internet, I've got another stupid question for you.
Okay, how many of you were hungry or bored (or both) and decided to try and invent your own snack, or take an already existing snack and put your own spin on it? Kinda like what Blaire and I did with Triangular Asses, or like that one time where I made a sundae using Breyers Triple Chocolate Ice Cream, honey, whipped cream, coconut shavings, chocolate chips, almonds, cinnamon, and then some green tea to drink. In that order.
Or maybe you mixed a weird drink. I've made cinnamon milk and peppermint milk. I've also mixed sodas, but I think a lot of people have done that. Good stuff, though.
Or maybe you just ate a really bizarre combination of foods, like that one time where I had chips and salsa with a side of Cheerios. And some more green tea.
Or maybe you just ate an odd, uncommon food in general, which I haven't had much experience in, though I guess I did eat some raw squid once which was pretty disgusting and I'm never going to do it again.I had to wash it down with some green tea
That, and I also ate some dog treats when I was a little kid. They weren't half bad They sucked, don't do that.
I'm sure you've done at least one, if not all of these things, right? Well, what was it, Internet? Bonus points if you share the recipe and how good it was so others can try it themselves if they feel like itor if they're like me and like doing crap like this for kicks

Date: 2008-10-23 05:55 am (UTC)Hmm, well, eating something really sweet/salty makes me want something salty/sweet to contrast it right afterward. So I'll eat a brownie and immediately go for pickles and then kind of want some raspberry jam, and be all, "WTF am I pregnant or something". Aaaaall the time.
Oh, and as for, inventing stuff, a screwdriver is a drink made with orange juice, and one time I made it with Sobe orange-carrot juice instead. So I dubbed it a horny rabbit. HAR HAR, genius.
In summary, I approve of green tea being the answer to everything.

Date: 2008-10-23 08:39 pm (UTC)I'm the exact same way, only once I eat something salty then I'm usually pretty content afterwards. 8D Then again, I love salty foods--whenever I make ramen I always have to add a crapload of salt to it before I eat it. Same with rice. And pasta. And watermelon. And... pretty much everything else, including salad. what is wrong with me
Man, if I weren't so young/a stickler then I would totally try that out. HORNY RABBIT IS THE PERFECT NAME, THOUGH
I'm drinking some right now, trufax

Date: 2008-11-14 12:17 am (UTC)But YES, I often make odd food blends. Most of them turn out okay--new favorites! Some slightly unusual tastes I love are thin mints (like the Girl Scout cookies?) with potato chips, popcorn chicken with dry roast peanuts...I've mixed soda a ton of times, too. At my school it's called a "suicide" because supposedly too much mixing threatens to explode. I haven't had any problems with it YET...
One of my favorite things to do, though, is make carrots and mac-n-cheese at 4AM. It tastes the best when you haven't had any recent tastes in your mouth to conflict with it!

Date: 2008-11-14 04:19 am (UTC)Oh yeah, I've heard people call it a "suicide," too, though I never knew the reason for it :O I always assumed people just called it that to make it seem EDGY or something. Never knew it exploded, though!
Now I wanna try thatYesssss carrots and mac-n-cheese is awesome. Mac-n-cheese with tuna is another really good one :D

Date: 2009-01-22 06:20 am (UTC)I also once tried mixing milk, honey, milo, malt and vanilla essence. It tastes like happiness~ I think I just grabbed a big cup and a table spoon of milo and malt. Then promptly went 'EH FUCK IT.' and poured an assload of honey and vanilla in there. And warmed it up.
I also tried to make vanilla coke once by pouring vanilla essence in normal coke. It tasted like HORRID.
And whenever we have a bunch of soda or flavoured mineral water I just get a bit of all of them and pour them in a cup. Melon and lemon lime and bitters turns clear when you mix it.
And then I added vanillaCOKE DOES NOT GO WELL WITH SUNKIST. But Mountain Dew does...
Also mashed avocados with lemon, salt and pepper on pancakes. It is also made of happiness.
